#10 Wood Decking Bugle-Head Screw
Fasten all types of wood decking, including Ipe, Redwood, Cedar, and preservative-treated (PT) woods (non-hardwood) with the DeckWise Bugle Head Deck Screws 10X2 (Colormatch SS – 1/2″). Available in 305 Grade stainless steel for decking and 316 Grade stainless steel for saltwater installations and superior corrosion resistance from the elements.
This tool is used for optimum performance with hardwoods, thermally modified softwoods, PT softwoods, and composite decking materials. Pre-drilling is not required except for exotic hardwoods.
This line consists of 3 Signature Colormatch painted heads; Hardwood Brown, Cedar, and Outdoor Grey to match your decking material plus, an unpainted stainless steel head for general purposes.
These T25 drive deck screws swiftly penetrate decking with a Type-17 auger point, including coarse threading and pulling boards together.
The double countersink flat bugle head has 6 nibs, utilizes a 6 lobe star drive to reduce cam-out and increase torque, and comes as a chipboard thread screw with partial thread and triple spline (one at the beginning of the thread and two at the end of the point).

When DeckWise Joist tape is applied to the top of decking joists or over ledger boards, and around support posts, it creates a waterproof seal that helps stop decay and wood rot. Rot is caused by moisture that stays in contact with treated and untreated lumber deck framing and the above decking material.
