Trex composite decking is a board made from reclaimed wood fibre and recycled plastic, wrapped in a protective outer shell. The shell is what takes the sun, rain, spills and foot traffic, so the board never needs staining, sealing or sanding. It is sold in four collections that differ in shell performance, colour range and price.

Frequently asked questions about Trex
What is Trex decking made of?
A core of reclaimed wood fibre and recycled plastic, wrapped in a protective polymer shell. The shell carries the colour and takes the wear, so the core underneath stays protected.
Does Trex decking need to be sealed or stained?
No. The shell is the finish. Trex decking is cleaned with soap and water, not refinished. That is the main practical difference against a hardwood deck.
What is the difference between Enhance, Select and Transcend?
They differ in shell performance, colour range and price. Enhance Basics is the entry point, Enhance Naturals adds warmer wood tones, Select sits in the middle and adds a 2x6 profile, and Transcend is the top of the range with the widest palette.
Does Trex get hot in the sun?
Yes, and so does every composite. Surface temperature is driven mainly by colour, not by brand. If barefoot comfort matters, choose a lighter colour first.
What sizes does Trex come in?
We stock 1x6, 1x8 and 1x12 across the collections, plus a 2x4 in Transcend and a 2x6 in Select. Ask us for the actual dimension when you are calculating board count.
Can I see and touch a sample before I buy?
Ask about samples at our Miami warehouse. Leaving a sample outside on your own site for a week tells you more than any brochure.
